James performed six poems as one of the main participants in the online festival after placing second with the poem "Europe, 1945-" in the 2018 Anthony Cronin International Poetry Award.

3-Part Poetry Workshop SeriesFebruary 13 and 27, March 13, 2019This three-part workshop will introduce you to three poetic forms - sonnets, ballads, and villanelles - to see how each form has been used in the past and present and increase people's enjoyment of reading and writing by knowing more about the technical side of poetry. At each workshop, participants will read and discuss different poems in that form and there will be a chance to write their own in the intervening weeks between workshops
